 CHEKLIST FOR ORAL PRESENTATION

 

Overall

• o   Did you practice your talk several times?
• o   Is your talk within the time limit?
• o   Are you aware of distracting sounds or habits you show when presenting?

Preparation

• o   Did you find out who your audience will be?
• o   Did you prepare notes?
• o   Did you write down

o   Your opening statements?

o   Important transitions?

o   Concluding remarks?

Slides

• o   Do you have and overview slide?
• o   Is your presentation logically organized?
• o   Are your slides informative?
• o   Do you have a summary slide?
• o   Is each slide logically organized and uncluttered?
• o   When preparing your slides, did you concentrate on the main points in each portion of your talk?
• o   Do all figures and tables have a title?
• o   Did you use visuals where possible rather than text?
• o   Is text used sparingly but informatively?
• o   Is the font large enough?
• o   Are slides/figures/tables kept simple?
• o   Are slides attractive?  Is color used well?
• o   Did you proofread your text?
